Parks and Recreation
Dan has long advocated for a well-maintained and user-oriented parks & recreation system in Roseville. He knows that appealing parks and relevant recreation programs enhance the community quality of life, benefit property values, and improve the health and well-being of our residents – not to mention that they provide a benefit to our environment. He is proud of his service on the Park & Recreation Master Plan steering committee in 2010. That process involved extensive community input which led to the Park Renewal Program and bonding in 2011, and construction of the popular and well-used new park buildings.
Dan continues to prioritize making park infrastructure funding sustainable, including developing the basis for a funding plan approved in 2018 that sustains the park capital fund for the next 20 years once fully implemented.
To serve the next generations of park users, Dan agrees with ongoing efforts to reach out to new members of the community and determine which recreation programs and facilities should be added and which ones may be obsolete.
